27th Indiana Infantry Regiment

The monument to the 27th Indiana Infantry Regiment at Antietam is on the north side of Cornfield Avenue. It was dedicated in 1910. (See location)

north of this marker. Sept. 17, 1862

Killed and wounded 209.

 

The 27th is also honored by a monument at Gettysburg.
