The monument to the 7th Indiana Infantry Regiment at Antietam is north of the battlefield on the east side of State Rt. 6. It was dedicated in 1910. See location
The regiment was held in reserve north of the Poffemberger farm to cover the corps artillery.

The 7th is also honored by a monument at Gettysburg.
