The view looks west along Cornfield Avenue from the location of the Line of Batteries. On the right side of the avenue are from right to left the monuments to the 137th Pennsylvania Infantry, 128th Pennsylvania Infantry, 104th New York Infantry, and on the ridgeline, the State of Indiana monument, 84th New York Infantry, and the tall spire of the State of New Jersey monument at the intersection with the Old Hagerstown Pike.

On the left of the avenue in the shade of the trees is the monument to the 90th Pennsylvania Infantry, in the open just beyond the State of Georgia monument, and in the distance at the top of the ridge the State of Texas monument.
